Betting Lock of the Night 01/28/2010

I was making my bets like I do everyday around this time. You know, just a few bucks here and there parlayed to maximize the earnings. But then this game caught my eye — the Islanders are paying +121 tonight against the 29th overall Carolina Hurricanes.

The Canes, who have been awful all year, have finally started to play well as of late winning two in a row. With that being said, they’re still riddled with injuries and overall not a very good hockey club.

The Islanders have lost two straight with the last game being a crushing defeat to the tune of 7-2 against the Washington Capitals.

The reason to put money on Long Island? Like I said, the Canes aren’t very good and the Isles are a good, hard working hockey team looking to rebound from a poor performance. No teams bounce back from those better than the scrappy, hard working clubs.

Bet a little on New York. Don’t bet the house, but if you’re looking for a good chance to double a small wager this is your opportunity.
