Thornton assisted on all three of Heatley's goals tonight in San Jose
Scores
San Jose Sharks 6, Philadelphia Flyers 5 — The Dany Heatley and Joe Thornton combination delivered tonight as Thornton assisted on all three of Heatley’s goals. Philly’s Claude Giroux added a pair of goals himself with his second making it a one goal game. However, Heatley’s third of the night sealed the deal. Evgeni Nabokov stopped 26 shots, raising his save percentage to .925 on the season. Game Recap »
Boston Bruins 2, Buffalo Sabres 1 — Patrice Bergeron played hero for the second night in a row for the Bruins. Bergeron won an offensive zone faceoff early in the overtime period and went hard to the net tipping the Zdeno Chara point shot into the back of the net. Milan Lucic scored his first goal of the season in just his second game back from injury. The win for the Bruins brings them just two points behind the Northeast leading Buffalo Sabres. Game Recap »
Montreal Canadiens 3, Washington Capitals 2 — Carey Price was stellar while Roman Hamrlik and Jaroslav Spacek shutdown Alexander Ovechkin as the Habs were cruising to a 3-1 victory. The Capitals would make it interesting as Brendan Morrison put a Price rebound in the net late in the third. Soon after, Tomas Fleischmann would draw a penalty making it a five-on-four and later a six-on-four. Price and the Canadiens’ defence held the line and managed to overcome the Capitals’ late game surge for the win. Game Recap »

Studs & Duds
Friday’s Stud — Joe Thornton — Dany Heatley may have had three goals, but Thornton had four assists. A couple of Heatley’s goals were a direct result of Thornton’s vision and patience. Joe is our second four assist stud in two days.
Friday’s Dud — Craig Anderson — Hard to knock a guy who has played so well this year but he flat out didn’t show up tonight and it cost his team.
